Our Faith Formation classes are designed to offer students insights into their own faith life, to show them that being Catholic is a full time commitment, and to help them live out Christian values in their everyday lives. As Catholics, we baptized our children into a faith-filled community and made a solemn promise to raise them in the Catholic Church. It is the responsibility of the parents to see that their children, not only attend weekly Mass, but that they also receive an education in the Catholic Faith. However, Faith Formation goes beyond those two requirements. Faith Formation is an intentional action that is integrated into the life of a family to include development of the whole person.
To that end the High School program offers many and varied ways for your youth to continue their Faith Formation. The activities to increase their participation in the community are Youth Group, Squires, Boy and Girl Scouts.
In our attempts to support our families in this endeavor we will:
- Provide a positive atmosphere where our youth become increasingly aware of God's love through instruction and experiences.
- Have a safe place for the youth to discuss his or her Faith questions
- Foster a desire to respond to God's love by sharing their gifts through service
- Give the youth role models of practicing Catholic adults to share their wisdom
- Encourage and support all youth to make conscious life choices on the basis of Gospel values.
- Offer courses that are varied and have a wide range to give youth choices such as
