THANK YOU STAFF AND VOLUNTEERS FOR THE BEATIFUL HOLY WEEK SERVICES
Having journeyed through my first Holy Week at St. Mark’s I’m overwhelmed by the beauty of the liturgies I experienced. I want to thank our entire staff for their herculean efforts during Holy Week, especially in hosting many consecrated religious men and women, over 50 deacons, over 150 priests, four bishops, and so many of our lay faithful for the Chrism Mass. I also thank Robert Martinez and Monica Frederick in helping to prepare and oversee all our liturgies as well as Mary Anne Votion, Mac McCarthy, Johnny Melendez and all of our maintenance staff for their support during Holy Week. Thanks also go out to Alejandra Ceballos, Rita Cabello and her team who decorated the church for all liturgies and especially the Community Center for the evening of Holy Thursday. The Live Stations, led by Jonathan Bassett, were nothing short of amazing and set the stage for our later Good Friday Liturgy. The Easter Vigil and Easter Day Masses were filled with beautiful music and large crowds. We thank our Music Ministers, Josh Frilling and Jose Gonzalez, and all of the choir members and instrumentalists for the beautiful music they provided. We thank our RCIA Leaders and Volunteers, especially John and Anabel Farrell, Diane McConnell, Ann Swihart, Jaynie Gomez, John and Cheryl Rich, Seminarians Luis De La Cruz and Edgar Hernandez and all other RCIA volunteers. And we thank our liturgical ministers, most especially our dedicated Deacons, Altar Servers, Eucharistic Ministers, Lectors and Sacristans and all who helped in any way to make our Holy Week Liturgies so memorable.
